SPINnaker
Low-cost Motor Control on an 8-bit MCU Platform

The SPINnaker board is a motor control daughterboard which is hardware- and software-compatible with the STMicroelectronics STM8S-DISCOVERY kit,a development board for the STM8S series of lowcost 8-bit microcontrollers.

SPINnaker is providing a space vector modulation based motor drive on 8-bit to answer to any cost constrained application.

It is supplied with example application code and an intuitive PC Graphical User Interface (GUI) to support project development. The SPINnaker daughterboard is the ideal rapid prototyping platform for any cost-constrained application based on the use of an 8-bit MCU. Applications in the automotive, industrial, consumer and home automation sectors can all take advantage of the ready-made capabilities of the SPINnaker board.
